The deportees who want to 'Make El Salvador Great Again'

Documenting Hate

At Univision, I was part of Documenting Hate, a ProPublica-led project reporting on hate crimes and hate incidents.

I engaged with our audience about incidents they’d experienced and investigated topics including: hate-fueled attacks at Walmart stores, how anti-immigrant sentiment affects Latinos, fear of speaking Spanish in public, the insult ‘Go back to your country,’ hate in the ER and more.

I was interviewed about the project on the Investigative Reporters and Editors podcast.
